
Randy was born on June 23, 1951, in Kerrville, Texas, the eldest child of Lee and Nona Bauer. A lifelong Texan, he and his beloved wife, Blanca, made League City their home in recent years.
Randy was a respected leader and dedicated professional in the dental laboratory community. He served as President of the Dental Laboratory Association of Texas in 1996, two-term president of the TSTC Faculty Senate, and also chaired the DLAT Advisory Committee for TSTI (Texas State Technical Institute), where he helped shape the next generation of dental laboratory technicians through education and mentorship. His commitment to excellence and service left a lasting mark on our profession.
He is survived by his wife, Blanca Treviño Bauer; children, Natalie Bauer and Charles Bauer; siblings Theresa Hampton (Gary) of College Station, Greg Bauer (Shirley) of Harlingen, and Troy Bauer (JoBeth) of Kerrville; mother-in-law Maria Inez Treviño of Harlingen; brother-in-law Jorge Treviño of Austin; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Nona Bauer.
Randy’s leadership, mentorship, and friendship have made a lasting impact on those who had the privilege of knowing him. He will always be remembered for his warmth, dedication, and unwavering support of his colleagues.
