Bio:
Jay Tyler has been an orthodontic technician for over 40 years. He is a past president of the Tennessee Dental Laboratory Association, and served 3 years on the WOK committee of NADL. Jay received a Fellowship from the NBC for a video training series he produced on orthodontics. He has been published in several periodicals and has been a speaker at various dental groups across the country. He lives in Nashville, TN, where he operates a small orthodontic lab.
How to train new orthodontic technicians

This clinic will address the various problems that occur when training new orthodontic technicians, including where to look for prospective candidates, how to test them, and what to look for when testing and interviewing. The clinic will also discuss the basic science behind the materials used in the orthodontic laboratory, that will give a better understanding of how things work for new trainees.
Clinic Objective
The objective of this clinic is to offer an open format for the exchange of ideas, information, and experiences about hiring new technicians, and teaching basic designs and techniques.
