Vision:
The goal of the Dental Laboratory Association of Texas is to uphold and improve the standards of dental technology: providing state-of-the-art technological and managerial education, providing a format for professional and ethical growth, and creating lasting fraternal relationships.
Mission:
The Dental Laboratory Association of Texas is a non-profit, professional organization dedicated to serving the interest of the dental laboratory industry.

2017 President: Cade Tippett, BS, CDT, TE
Cade started his career as a Junior in High School working for his local orthodontist. He went to college at Tarleton State University on a track scholarship. He graduated with a BS in biology. Cade attended Dental Technician School at the University of Texas HSC at San Antonio, after graduation he opened his own ortho lab in 2004, He merged his lab with Renew Dental Lab in 2008, and in 2014 He Joined forces with Ortho Works Lab to pursue opening a new dental lab technician school. In 2015 Dental Lab Academy was created. Cade has helped DLAT make the move to online with services such as Online Membership Directory, Membership Management Software and Online event registration. Cade had also been in charge of revamping the website in making it more valuable to the members while keeping the great DLAT community aspect alive and well in the 21st century. Cade is been nominated for a second term for the President.
2017 Vice President: Pamela Meredith, CDT
Pam started her career in the lab industry in 1977 at Crown Dental in Louisiana right out of high school. From the beginning, she could tell this industry was a fit for her personality. In 1984 she opened her own lab in Shreveport after developing some great working relationships with some of the area dentists. In 1990, her husband’s job was transferred to Dallas so she worked for area labs for a year but in 1991 became a CDT and re-opened her lab in Southlake, Tx. She relocated her lab to Tyler, TX in 2009. She is reaching a point in her career where she wants to give back to the Dental Lab community, she believes her service on the DLAT board will be a perfect opportunity. On a personal note, she and her husband have one child and grandchild plus she is has been a part of numerous book clubs as well as mentoring young women at her Church.
2017 Secretary Treasurer: Matthew Douglas, CDT, TE
With more than 30 years of experience in the field, Mr. Douglas shows his passion for what he does through his work and the personal relationships that he has gained with the doctors he works with. Matthew graduated from Texas State Technical College in Waco, Texas. Thereafter he went on to work for different reputable companies within the industry before deciding to open his own dental lab in his hometown of Cleveland, TX. Mr. Douglas strives for perfection in his work but also in the customer service of his business.
2017 Director Seat #1: Robert Jones, CDT
Robert’s interest in Dentistry was because of his love of Art & Science. He graduated from ATI in 1988 and became certified in Ceramics 1994, he started Texas Tech Dental till 2007. Robert was first elected to the DLAT Board in 2000 and served until 2008. In 2014 he ran again as Director and have served since.
Since 2010, he owns and operates CHAPIN Jones Dental in Cleburne Tx. He is licensed in Texas & South Carolina. Robert would like to help this association grow as we set forth with a new structure of our Board of Directors!
2017 Technician/ Associate Liaison Seat #1: Keith Wilson
Keith has served the Members and Non-members of the dental laboratory community for 25 years. He is a former employee of Heraeus Kulzer, Inc. and was also a program speaker for Corevent Dental Implants and IntraTech Dental Products. He is currently a technical/sales representative with The Argen Corporation. He as served as DLAT’s lone Technician/Affiliate Liaison since 2000.
2017 Technician/ Associate Liaison Seat #2: Jon Meeks
John Meeks is a second generation dental technician and lab owner originally from the Oklahoma City area. After accepting a position with a dental lab materials manufacturer in 1999 he transferred to the Dallas area. John currently serves dental technicians as a representative of Renfert USA in the Great State of Texas.
